G’day!
I’m Antonio
Lo Iacono
I’ve always been a pretty cool cat. I loved my sport, camping trips, tractors, surfing, sunsets, and kicking back with a beer and my tribe. Life was meant to be long and full, but I never made it home that day. My family’s hearts were broken - but I’ve still got work to do upstairs. Someone’s got to keep you mob in check. Before I left, I told Dad and my brother Jack that one day I’d be famous. I didn’t know it would be like this. So, I left Mum a job—to keep my spirit alive and give my dream a heartbeat. That’s how Happy Lids was born. My idea, my legacy.

Protect your lid, protect your life
Happy Lids is more than a hat. It’s a symbol of safety, brain health, and love for the game. In my last match, I took a high hit to the chin after I disposed of the ball in round one, and another fatal high hit in the third quarter. Seconds and inches can take everything. That’s why protecting your lid—your brain, your future—matters.
Every hat you wear honours my memory and fuels a bigger mission: raising conversations and funds for the Concussion Legacy Foundation Australia. Together, we can change the game—protecting young athletes, preventing Second Impact Syndrome, and ending CTE through research, education, and awareness.
I was a young talent lost too soon, but if my story can spark change, then my voice lives on. So here’s my advice to you:
Embrace your journey. Chase your dreams. Happiness isn’t a destination—it’s the path you create. Be the hero of your own story. Protect your lid. Be happy. Wear the change. Be the difference.
For me. For you. For all of us.
Cheers,
Antonio
